Today is one of those days, I am so glad I packed a coat and pair of pants. With the chilly wind, an umbrella proved to be near impossible (the days Taxi drivers live for, I'm sure). And after our movie day yesterday, Brycen was ready to get out.
So, we headed to a place to see on my to-do list that I specifically saved for a rainy day. It was huge, toasty, and perfect.
The biggest department store I have ever seen. But since I'm not a huge shopper, that might not be saying a whole lot.
People were flocking to it. Very popular, even on a sunny day, not a day has gone by here that I haven't seen someone carrying a KaDeWe bag.
8 floors with a different department (each roughly the size of a normal Kohl's (maybe 2)) of the store on each floor.
I felt like to complete the KaDeWe experience, I needed to leave with one of those famous bags. So I started looking...
Quickly fell in love with this swimming suit style...isn't it cute??
And as quickly out, as I did in, with this price. I had to take a picture just to make sure the decimal point was in the place I first saw it to be...(approx. $430!!! in U.S)
So we moved on and found our section of the store, located on the candy floor. My kind of floor, for sure.
And found things relatively inexpensive compared to Mommy's swimming suit: a few of her favorite Jelly Belly's (still relatively pricey), which Brycen happens to share the same taste for.
And a fun looking can of Brycen's favorite "juice".
Brycen was in heaven with all the escalator rides.
8 floors worth of escalators (which we did one after one on the way down).
And then braved the crazily packed bus and headed home with our souvenir, spending less than 4 Euro. Daddy should be proud.

I'm so glad you went! We personally LOVE the toy store. We love the playmobil and the legos there. You're not really surprised that we love toys more than anything else.
P.S. That swimsuit was cute, but not $430 cute.
