So to make a short story shorter, Brycen peed on me yesterday. And believe it or not, I think he was more shocked about it then I was. His "where did THAT come from?" innocent face seemed to at first, be fake but it became genuine when he saw my slightly shocked then disgusted face (he hasn't peed on me in months, and it definitely isn't on my top 10 favorite things) and became so concerned, he ran (without a diaper) to the kitchen sink to grab the Clorox wipes that are stored underneath it.
He then insisted on personally scrubbing the carpet where a little bit got and then my jeans (even though I insisted it was okay since I was in process of taking them off anyway to throw in the laundry). He wanted to make everything okay and right as he was done and clapping for himself, he must of just been too excited because he peed again.
I honestly don't think it registered with him the first or second time that he no longer had a diaper on, or that he was in fact, the one causing the mess. But the second time, he was a little agitated because he had JUST finished wiping up the first mess and was in the process of throwing the wipe away when he almost stepped in the second one and stopped and wiped again. Who's really a fan of cleaning up a same mess twice? haha. Well, somewhere in the process, he must've realized he didn't have a diaper on and quickly fetched one, handed it to me, laid down right where he was and was perfectly still until it was securely on. If nothing else, I think he now fully understands the purpose and convenience of a diaper :) And is probably not yet ready for potty training.

These are some pictures from awhile ago. He has always been such a good helper around the house and learns quickly. Whenever he either asks for or personally grabs the wipes from underneath the sink, I know he made a mess.

Grabbing the wipes.

Isn't he awesome?
Often times in the car, I give him something to eat to get him to go into his carseat easier and keep him happier. And almost always, within a minute or two of giving it to him, he asks for a baby wipe ("wipe, dease!" (aka, please in English). Today, I forgot that I used the last wipe the last time we were in the car and so when he asked for one, I didn't have one to give him. I looked in the mirror and saw that he was now sporting a chocolate mustache and beard (all from ONE M&M, he never ceases to amaze me) and told him that he will have to wait until we get home. Sorry. He then started saying, "ome dease!" (aka, Home please). haha. He cracks me up.
When we arrived home, I quickly grabbed the wipes from my purse in the trunk and opened his door to find him cupping the remainder of the M&M mess, waiting patiently for me to wipe it from his hands. This is HUGE because normally if I don't give him something immediately to wipe his hands, he finds some alternative--usually his pants or his car seat--making quite a piece of art because when he realizes that it smears, he usually goes to town on decorating his entire two legs and carseat.
Despite all, I still find his messes well worth the no screaming in the car they compensate for and that's why I continue to let him eat and so when he held out his mess for me to wipe today, I was for sure one proud Mommy.
Side note: I was looking through pictures today and came across this one.

Isn't he adorable? At the time, this was huge because he HATED and refused to get in the stroller but as soon as he looked out and saw the rain, he was begging to get in it. As long as the rain held up, I could've probably walked forever and never heard a complaint from him. In this picture though, I think he was slightly amused that I was soaking wet and he was perfectly dry.

So funny (about him cleaning up his mess all the while making it himself). He is so cute and funny!
